Lab Reports & Quality Testing

Quality on saffron, shilajit and honey isn’t something you can judge by eye, so we test rather than just claim. Here’s what that actually means and how to get the specifics for the batch you have.

What we test for

Saffron: graded against the ISO 3632 standard, which measures colouring strength (crocin), flavour (picrocrocin) and aroma (safranal) to classify saffron into Category I, II or III. We work with Category I (Mongra) grade stock.
Shilajit: checked for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) and purity, since raw shilajit sourced without proper purification is a known risk area for contamination.
Honey: checked for adulteration (added sugar syrups) and moisture content, which affect both purity and shelf life.

Getting a report for your batch

Every pack we sell carries a harvest year and lot number — see our lot lookup page for where to find it on your packaging. Lab reports are tied to specific lots rather than published as one generic document for the whole catalogue, since results genuinely vary batch to batch.

If you’d like to see the report for the lot number on your pack, message us on WhatsApp or email with the lot number and we’ll send over what we have for that batch.

A note on honesty here

We’d rather tell you how to ask for the real document than publish numbers on this page that you can’t verify against your own pack. If you’ve bought from us and don’t have a lot number on your packaging, let us know — that’s something we want to fix.
