Description

Kani is woven, not embroidered — the pattern is built thread by thread using small wooden sticks, following a coded talim script. There is no shortcut and no machine version.

This piece took fourteen months on the loom. GI-registered Kashmir pashmina.

Comes with the weaver’s card and the talim reference for the pattern.
