Refund and Returns Policy

At Kashmir Expo Arts and Crafts, we take pride in delivering authentic Kashmiri handicrafts crafted with care by skilled artisans from the Kashmir Valley. Due to the handmade nature of our products, each item is unique. There is an expectation of a very slight variation in actual artwork compared to photos, mainly because of the handcrafted nature of each product. However, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase.


1. Return Eligibility

Return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery for items that are unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.

1.1. Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-made, personalized, or made-to-order products (e.g., carpets, hand-knotted rugs, custom papier-mache pieces)
  • Items damaged due to customer misuse or improper handling
  • Items returned without original packaging, tags, or certificates of authenticity
  • Sale items and products marked as “Final Sale”

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at info@kashmirexpo.com with your order number, reason for return, and photos (if the item is damaged or defective).
  2. Our team will review your request and provide return instructions within 24-48 hours.
  3. Once approved, carefully pack the item in its original packaging and ship it back to the address provided.
  4. Refund or replacement will be processed after we receive and inspect the returned item.

3. Refund Policy

3.1. Full Refunds

Full refunds are granted for items that are damaged during shipping, defective, or incorrect (not matching the order). In these cases, Kashmir Expo covers the return shipping cost.

3.2. Standard Returns (Change of Mind)

For returns due to change of mind, sizing preference, or any reason not attributable to Kashmir Expo, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. Currency Conversion fee may apply for Paypal Payments to the extent of 16% while processing refunds.

3.3. Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Partial refunds may be issued if items are returned in a condition different from the original (e.g., minor wear, missing packaging, or tags removed). The refund amount will reflect the reduced value of the item.

4. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days and will be credited to your original payment method. Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional business days for the refund to appear in your account. Currency Conversion fee may apply for Paypal Payments to the extent of 16% while processing refunds.

5. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If you receive a damaged item or your shipment is lost in transit, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date at info@kashmirexpo.com. We will arrange a replacement at no extra cost or issue a full refund, as per your preference.

6. Exchange Policy

Direct exchanges are not currently offered. If you wish to exchange an item, please follow the return process described above and place a new order for the desired product once your return is approved.

7. International Returns

For international orders, customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs charges on the returned item. We strongly recommend using a trackable courier service (such as DHL or FedEx) for international returns to ensure safe delivery.

8. Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled by emailing info@kashmirexpo.com within 10 hours of placing the order. After this window, or once the order has been processed or dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible and the standard return policy will apply instead. Currency Conversion fee may apply for Paypal Payments to the extent of 16% while processing refunds.

9. Important Notes on Handmade Products

As all our products are handmade by skilled Kashmiri artisans, slight variations in color, pattern, texture, and size are natural markers of authenticity and craftsmanship. These variations are not considered defects and are not eligible for returns or refunds.
